In FRITZ!Powerline 540E AVM has combined power line technology, Wireless N and two LAN ports in a single, affordably priced product. This makes Wireless N available in places that would not have wireless coverage.
With the 540E data are first transmitted to the outlying areas of the home by powerline, and then transferred from there over the wireless LAN (2.4 GHz) to a tablet, printer, sound system, TV or network storage (NAS). For this FRITZ!Powerline 540E uses powerful powerline technology with 500 Mbit/s and Wireless N with 2 x 2 MIMO. The two antennas provide for significantly higher throughput of up to 300 Mbit/s as well as greater coverage.
