The Dell Wireless 5620 Gobi Mobile Broadband Mini-Card uses both EVDO (Evolution Data Optimized) and HSDPA (High Speed Data Packet Access) technologies in one card. This technology is called Gobi. The service provider determines whether the card operates in EVDO or HSDPA. In addition, whether a SIM card is need or not is also determined by the technology.
