The Extron DTP DVI 230 Rx is a digital twisted pair receiver that works with Extron DTP 230 transmitters for the transmission of DVI-D video, audio, and bidirectional RS-232 and IR signals over a single CATx cable. It provides an economical and effective means for extending single link DVI-D or HDMI signals. In addition, the DTP DVI 230 accepts analog stereo audio signals and digitizes them for simultaneous transmission over the same twisted pair cable. It is capable of receiving 1920 x 1200, 1080p/60 deep color, and 2K signals up to 230 feet (70 meters). The compact enclosure sizes and remote power capability make the DTP DVI 230 ideal for extending DVI-D, audio, and bidirectional control in space-challenged environments.
The DTP DVI 230 Rx enables the reliable transmission of DVI-D signals, and is fully compatible with HDMI signals when used with the appropriate DVI-HDMI adapters from Extron. The twisted pair receiver can extend HDMI signals, supporting deep color up to 12-bit, CEC, and embedded HD lossless audio formats. The DTP DVI 230 Rx streamlines integration with analog and digital audio signals. In addition, DDC communication of EDID and HDCP is continuously maintained between a source and display, ensuring direct compatibility and optimal signal transmission between devices.
The twisted pair receiver provides other convenient, integrator-friendly features designed to help simplify installation. The DTP DVI 230 Rx supports simultaneous transmission of bidirectional RS-232 and IR signals from a control system, providing remote control to source equipment or remote displays. Also, either the receiver or a compatible transmitter can be remotely powered over the twisted pair cable, allowing both devices to share one external power supply.
The DTP DVI 230 Rx can be used as a point-to-point solution or integrated with a switching and distribution system to extend inputs or outputs to remote locations. The receiver is housed in a 1" (2.5 cm) high, quarter rack width metal enclosure. The low profile design of the DTP DVI 230 allows for discreet placement beneath tables or behind flat-panel displays.
