The Extron DTP DVI 230 Tx is a transmitter for transmission of DVI-D video, audio, and bidirectional RS-232 and IR signals over a single CATx cable to an Extron DTP 230 receiver. It provides an economical and effective means for extending single link DVI-D or HDMI signals. In addition, the DTP DVI 230 accepts analog stereo audio signals and digitizes them for simultaneous transmission over the same twisted pair cable. It is capable of sending 1920 x 1200, 1080p/60 deep color, and 2K signals up to 230 feet (70 meters). The transmitter is equipped with a buffered DVI loop-through output to support a local computer monitor. The compact enclosure sizes and remote power capability make the DTP DVI 230 ideal for extending DVI-D, audio, and bidirectional control in space-challenged environments.
The DTP DVI 230 Tx enables the reliable transmission of DVI-D signals, and is fully compatible with HDMI signals when used with the appropriate DVI-HDMI adapters from Extron. The twisted pair transmitter can extend HDMI signals, supporting deep color up to 12-bit, CEC, and embedded HD lossless audio formats. The DTP DVI 230 Tx streamlines integration with analog and digital audio signals. It allows a direct connection from devices with an analog stereo audio output and provides balanced and unbalanced audio output from the DTP DVI 230 receiver. In addition, DDC communication of EDID and HDCP is continuously maintained between a source and display, ensuring direct compatibility and optimal signal transmission between devices.
